« on: Thursday 06 July 17 20:34 BST (UK)  »
I have 2 deaths certificates in 1937 and 1951 but no details as to where they are buried. Who holds the burial records for Caithnesshire and any address and phone number would be great.

Re the Colvilles   It should read that the ship Osterley  was going to Brisbane but they were heading to Sydney not the other way round.

Australia / Mary COLVILLE nee Douglas
« on: Tuesday 10 March 15 19:36 GMT (UK)  »
Mary Colville nee Douglas {born 1885)was the widow of Alexander Colville who died during the 1st World War. He married Mary Douglas in Selkirk scotland on 5th October 1906 .It would appear that in 18-9-1920 after the war she emigrated from London to Brisbane on the "Osterley" 128287. The record shows Mrs M Colville and master David{aged 3 in 1911 census}, Miss May. Miss M,and Miss M. with a destination of Sydney  although the ship was to Brisbane.  Somewhere along the line Alexander Colvilles 1st world war medals arrived in NZ and the current owners would like to hand them back to the family. Alexander is one of the many listed on our local War Memorial.
If you can help to hand back the medals it would be appreciated.

Caithness / James TURNBULL
« on: Tuesday 17 June 08 00:02 BST (UK)  »
My2xGGrandfather James Turnbull is shown in the Gladsmuir 1841 census as being a groom born in WICK but there is no trace of birth anywhere. Death cert would make him born about 1810.
Is there any school records available in Wick area which could help me.?
I believe his father was Andrew?
