I'm trying to find the baptism of Ellen Salmon who married John Megan in 1871 Dublin. Her parents names were given as John and Ellen. She later married Alfred Tomes in 1885. She's in the 1891 census b 1855 Dublin, (surname Tomes) living in Portsmouth, UK. She stays in Portsmouth till her death in 1931.
1901 b abt 1856 Cork,
1911 b Abt 1856 Cork,
1921 b 1851 Dublin.
I found a baptism in 17 Aug 1851, Cork parents John Salmon and Ellen Shaughnessy. Ellen's surname was deciphered by some helpful Rootschatters.
I'm not sure if that's too early but the information from the other records is confusing. Can anyone help with opinions/alternative information?

Hello. I can only find one record for John Megan and Ellen Salmon who were married at St.Michans church, Dublin. 1871. John’s parents were James and Bridget, Ellen’s John and Ellen. John’s residence Richmond Barracks, Ellen’s 18 Pill Lane, Dublin.
If anyone can find out baptism’s or census info that would be very helpful thanks.

I have details for Daniel Woods Digby up till the census in 1851 and then he seems to disappear. Can anyone help to find more information please? He was born in about 1833 Monk Sherborne, Hampshire and baptised in 1842. He was the illegtimate son of Alice (Taylor) Digby and William Woods. In 1841 he is with his mother and some of his half siblings and in 1851 he is a brother in law at the home of his half sister Jane Digby who is the wife of George Woods and they are living in Monk Sherborne.

Does anyone know if it's possible to order an adoption record from the GRO without knowing the name of the adopter's. I only have an original birthname. It's my aunt. Thanks.
