I am currently researching my families involvement in Knottfield House in Rawdon.  I was wondering if anyone had information as to this old house and property and its Lodges.  I also want to know when the Rawdon Crematorium which now occupies the grounds was built.

Having received a photo of a Dawson headstone, photo c 1918 at St Stephens in Kirkstall I was wondering if someone was in that area and they could look it up for me - please reply for more details

Armed Forces / Men who joined the Indian Army

Could any body out there point me in the right direction about finding out about the men from England who joined the (British) Indian Army.  This is before 1890.   I think Sandhurst trained some officers and then obviously they went out to India.

There is a big gap in this chaps time line from the time he left school and to when he got married.  I have some written evidence - not military and would like more

Has anyone come across this couple in their research.  Lived in the Auckland Epsom area 1900's. Buried at St Andrews Church Yard Epsom.  House was called Kirkstall.
