I have found the following newspaper article in Papers Past.

http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/cgi-bin/paperspast?a=d&cl=search&d=THS19020813.2.37&srpos=1&e=--1902---1902--100-THS-1----2william+davies--

Does anyone have access to information, or could someone recommend resources for me to look at that could tell me more about this person and/or the residents of Cabbage Bay Road.   I suspect he may be my William Davies, husband of Harriett nee Glover, who through family stories, died in a fall.  His occupation was a miner.

Thanks
Nicole.

Can anyone tell me what the following reference means:  Ammdt Act 1912

It is recorded under the mothers given name field in a historical BMD birth search.  Registration year for the birth is 1849.    Thanks Nicole.

Lanarkshire / William Patterson and Ann Telford
« on: Thursday 26 March 09 08:44 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to trace living relatives of William Patterson and Ann Telford.

Ann Telford was born 1875 Coatbridge, Lanarkshire.  Youngest daughter of William Telford and Jane Miller.

Ann married William Patterson in 1915, Blythswood, Glasgow.  William's parents were John and Grisella Patterson.

Ann died in 1954, her daughter Jane Payner (possibly Rayner) registered the death.  Ann died at 34 Mitchell Street, Airdrie.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Lanarkshire / Missing Wife and Children - Jane Miller
« on: Saturday 12 July 08 12:49 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find out what happened to Jane Miller, daughter of Arthur Miller and Catherine Porteous, and her two daughters, Jane and Ann Telford.  Jane Miller was born abt 1855 Airdrie and married William Frederick Telford 5 Apr 1872 in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  They had two daughters Jane brn 1873 and Ann born 1875.  The family was in the 1881 Scotland Census in Haughhead, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  However, by 1885 William Frederick Telford had relocated to Australia and was remarried.  I have no information on how William got to Australia so don't know if he travelled alone.  Any help much appreciated.
