Census and Resource Discussion / 1939 Register
« on: Monday 09 December 19 19:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,
After the 100 year requirement is finished for locked persons how long does it take for them to be unlocked.  My Mom was born November 19, 1919.  I don't have access to genealogical sites but in browsing them she seems to still be blocked.
Thank you for any help on this,

On some baptisms (I'm looking at 1864-77 approximately) I see the words "Absolutely" or "Conditionally".  Can anyone tell me what these refer to please?

Sussex / Burial site in Hove for John Marsh
« on: Sunday 27 April 14 13:56 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I was wondering if some kind person could take a photo of my grandparents grave site.  I live in Canada so it is difficult for me to get there.
John Frederick Marsh, b Dec 1877 in Brighton, d March 1930 in Hove.  His wife Florence Adeline Marsh, b Dec 1888 in Hove, d 17 March 1955 in Portslade-by-Sea.  They were living on Stapley Road at the time of John's death so I'm assuming they are possibly buried in Hove Cemetery.
Their burial plot number is 222X section A.
I would be most appreciative of any help offered.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Technique and Date Please
« on: Saturday 03 March 12 12:07 GMT (UK)  »
This is a photo, possibly taken in Scotland, of my Great Great Grandfather who was born in 1835 in Paisley, Scotland and died in 1882 in Paisley.  He was in the 92nd Gordon Highlanders (although he may have been in another regiment before the Highlanders) and served in India, the Boer War and Egypt so the photo could have been taken in one of those places.  Can someone date this and possibly tell me the technique used?
Thank you for any assistance.

Canada Lookup Request / Vancouver Sun Obituaries for Payson and Elmer Weber
« on: Wednesday 08 February 12 22:28 GMT (UK)  »
I am hoping someone might be able to acquire the obituaries for 2 relatives of mine.  Payson Seaman Earl Weber died October 11, 1949 in Vancouver and Elmer Stuart Weber died October 5, 1973 in Vancouver.  I have their death registrations but the online newspaper doesn't have editions for those times.  I'm hoping the obituaries will have further information on other family members.  To keep them private the obituaries could be emailed to me.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Sussex Lookup Requests / Burial Place of John and Florence Marsh
« on: Sunday 04 April 10 13:02 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I am searching for the burial place of my grandparents.  John Frederick Marsh, b Dec 1877 in Brighton, d March 1930 in Hove.  His wife Florence Adeline Marsh, b Dec 1888 in Hove, d 17 March 1955 in Portslade-by-Sea.  I would like to know the name of the cemetery (or cemeteries) so that I could visit when I make a trip to England.  I never knew my grandparents so it would be lovely and deeply personal if I could lay some flowers on their graves.
Thank you for any help,

Midlothian / William Jeffrey/Helen Muirhead
« on: Wednesday 03 March 10 20:24 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for info on William Jeffrey and Helen Muirhead.  I don't know when they were born but he died before 1882 and she died after 1882.  They had a son William b. 1829 in Musselburgh, County of Edinburgh.  Son William died in 1882 in Burn House, Jocks Lodge, South Leith, Edinburgh (what was Burn House, Jocks Lodge??).

William and Helen were my great great grandparents but I don't know anything about them.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
