England / Edward Gove - Tower of London - Pardon
« on: Tuesday 16 October 18 14:03 BST (UK) »
Edward Gove. Committed under sentence of death from New Hampshire in the American Colonies charged with High Treason for levying war against the King. - Removed to the Gatehouse Prison on 29 September 1683 and finally pardoned 9 March 1685/6.
I'm trying to find the pardon in the National archives, I assume this is where it would be?
Does anyone know how this document could be tracked down? There are terrible copies of it online. I have messaged a few people but no one seems to know where it originated from. So I'm trying to find the original. Anyone have any ideas. I have had no luck with my searches in the National archive online database so far.
Cheers.
