Cheshire / Buried laws amendment act
« on: Friday 06 July 18 13:05 BST (UK)  »
I have recently been checking church records for the deaths of two babies who died when they were three and two days old the reference in the records says certified under the burial laws amendment act 1880. We know that both children we baptised and buried in the churchyard but we can't find their graves.
After looking up the amendment act my cousin and I think that the children were buried in an open grave at the time of their death and that they didn't have a service but that the minister would have blessed and prayed over them at the grave side.
Could anybody have any other suggestions  as to what we think.

Tipperary / Marriage look up
« on: Tuesday 03 April 12 19:35 BST (UK)  »
Hi I am trying to locate a marriage between Martin Haley(Healey) and Ellen Cooke living in Borriscoleigh in Tipperary. I found the family in the 1881 census in the UK, I have traced the children born in Ireland to Tipperary but now i'm trying to find the marriage between their parents Martin and Ellen. They would be my Great great grandparents.
The name through the years has been spelt with different variations but believe it was originally Haley but Martins son Martin Thomas his name was Healey(great Grandfather) and his daughther Ethel was named Healey(my Grandmother) and would dearly love to be able to trace Martin and Ellen in Tipperary. Any help would be much appreciated :)

Kilkenny / Martin Healey married Ellen Murphy
« on: Monday 04 January 10 23:05 GMT (UK)  »
Have not been on for quite sometime as I had hit a brick wall looking for this family, all the census records  I looked at only said that they came from Ireland but I didn't know whereabouts, through ancestry I have located them in another members tree and found that they had recorded  that they were from Castlecomer Kilkenny,
Martin Healey I have his dob as 1839 approx and Ellen Murphy dob 1846.
I first found the Family in the 1881 census they have 7 children Mary 16 Michael 15 John 10 Joseph 8 Richard 7 Martin jnr 5 Robert 1.

Mary Michael  John  and Joseph were born in Ireland richard martin jnr and Robert were born in Warrington Cheshire, Robert died very young in 1883 (possibily 3yrs old).

Does anybody have any connections  or knowledge regarding this family? I believe that alot of records in Ireland had been destroyed by fire ,any help would really be appreciated .    :)
