The Common Room / Edmund Patten Mystery
« on: Thursday 17 October 13 06:01 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,

I would be grateful for any help in solving the following mystery.

I have just discovered an Edmd. Patten in the 1861 Census in his brother's Household at 16a Providence Row, St. Luke.

RG09-208-85
He is entered as a Boot Maker born 1839 in Haversham Common ( the word Bucks is in brackets and seems to have been added later)

According to my records there is no Edmund in the family and I could find no reference to any Birth, marriage, death or any other census records.

He is listed as brother, but the householder and his six known siblings were all born in Bocking or Braintree Essex......quite a jump to Bucks for one child!

Any help appreciated.

Dublin / Descendants of Thomas Brady and Mary Mooney
« on: Wednesday 18 September 13 08:26 BST (UK)  »
Thomas Brady ( ?-before 1901)  of 45 Lower Gardiner Street, married Mary Mooney  of 23 upper Eccles Lane on 15th August 1877 in St. Michan’s Church Dublin.
Children:
Patrick Joseph Brady     (11th March 1878-before 1901 Census)    67 Lower Wellington Street, Dublin.
Philip Brady      (14th October 1879-before 1901 Census)   67 Lower Wellington Street, Dublin
William Brady      (7th May 1881-after 1911 Census)   32 Summerhill, Dublin.
Thomas Brady      (23rd January 1883-after 1911 census)   5 Lower Temple Street, Dublin.
Anne Brady      (30th August 1884-before 1901 Census)   5 Lower Temple Street, Dublin.
May Bridget Brady   (8th May 1886-after 1911 Census)   5 Lower Temple Street, Dublin.
John Brady      (21st Sept. 1887-before 1901 Census)   5 Hill Street, Dublin.
Bernard Brady      (19th October 1888-after 1911 Census)   5 Hill Street, Dublin
Michael  Joseph Brady   (24th October 1890-after 1911 Census)   5 Hill Street, Dublin.
Margaret Brady      (14th October 1892-before 1901 Census)   5 Hill Street, Dublin.
Bridget Brady      (3rd October 1895-after 1911 Census)   36 Lower Gloucester Street, Dublin.

With the exception of Bridget (My wife’s Grandmother), we know absolutely nothing about what happened to the rest of the family, so this a very big brick wall.
Mary and the six surviving children were at 36 Lower Gloucester Street  in both the 1901 and 1911 censuses.
We are hoping that there are some descendants out there, or someone who knows something about the family, please get in touch……any information would be really appreciated. If the info is of a private nature please send me a PM.
