Clackmannanshire / Bridesmaids
« on: Saturday 05 September 20 22:41 BST (UK)  »
I have a photo of the wedding of Alexander Easton Ferguson and Robina Campbell Mills married in 1939 at Tullialan.
No descendants of this family exist
The photo shows two adult bridesmaids.
Is there any way to find out their names

Cheers

Family History Programs, Tree Organisation, Presentation / What Tree Program
« on: Wednesday 02 September 20 15:40 BST (UK)  »
For many years I have been using an old Family Tree Maker version 10 that my computer is not happy with.  When I got this computer about tree years or so ago, I opted for Windows 7 rather than Windows 8 and every time I open the Family Tree the computer tells me that there is a compatibility problem but runs the program anyway.
I want to upgrade but do not want to go with Ancestry and their Cloud system.
I am doing two different trees, My wife's and my own, on two different computers.
What program can I buy on disc that will allow me to upload the files from Family Tree Maker.

Thanks in anticipation

Stirlingshire / Ferguson..Lost Burial
« on: Monday 22 January 18 23:57 GMT (UK)  »
Peter Ferguson.
Born 23 April 1915. at Bannockburn
Died 9 April 1918. at Tulliallan near Kincardine on Forth
Can't find a place of burial. I have tried the Cemetery Depts for Stirling and Perthshire without any luck.
It's possible he may have been buried in Bannockburn, Stirling or Blairdrummond.

Anyone have any ideas ?

With thanks.

Armed Forces / Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders 1800s
« on: Monday 08 August 16 18:07 BST (UK)  »

The only info I have on this man is that he was William L Ross. Princess Louise Regiment.
I think the original photo would have been taken in the mid 1800s.
can anyone find out more about him ??

With Thanks
Robert.

Family History Beginners Board / 1881 Census CD's
« on: Wednesday 22 June 16 11:05 BST (UK)  »
A few years ago, I bought a set of CD's that contained the 1881 British Census.
I had to buy a replacement computer that runs Windows 7 and find that I can no longer use my Census CD's.

What do I do ?
Do I need some sort of upgrade for the CD's ?

Regards
  Robert

Stirlingshire / Ketterick

Could someone dig up some info on this family.
It's part of my wife's mother's family that I looked into years ago but it was sidelined and never restarted.
I think most of the family settled in the Stirling and Cowie areas.

Cheers
