Surrey Lookup Requests / Birth date look up

Hi All

I am hoping to be able to order the birth certificate of (*) who was born in Southwark in April 1988 (mother's maiden name (*)). The on line GRO service are asking me for his date of birth but I don't know it - how can I find out??

Immigrants & Emigrants - General / SHAW family passenger look up pls

My 'Shaw' family have disappeared and the only option I can now think of is that they emigrated and I wonder if someone would be able to help me with some look ups.

I am looking for:
William Hartley Shaw born 1845
Henry Morrish Shaw born 1848
Alfred Shaw born 1851
Mary Rosa Shaw born 1853
Lewis Redmond Shaw born 1858
The were all born in London to the parents of Limerick (or Elimelach) and Deborah Shaw. Their mother Deborah died in 1860 and I can't find any of the above in the 1861 or 1871 census returns. Where have they disappeared to??

I am looking for the MI's for the Barnwell family who lived at Dunnington, Yorkshire. The dates of death will be c. 1850 - 1950.

Immigrants & Emigrants - General / Passenger lists look up - Soutter family

Hi there
Hoping that someone can help me with passenger look ups for the Soutter family as follows:
William Soutter born 1861 (parents James and Clementina) - I am almost certain he went to the US
John Soutter born 1863 (parents James and Clementina) - not sure
Mary Soutter born 1864 (parents James and Clementina) - Disappears from UK records after 1881
Margaret Soutter born 1866 (parents James and Clementina) - not sure
Emily Soutter born 1869 (parents James and Clementina) - Disappears from UK records after 1881
Emma Soutter born 1871 - last known in the UK 1891 (parents James and Emma)
Walter Soutter born 1873 - last known in the UK 1881(parents James and Emma)
Alexander Soutter born 1876 - last known in the UK 1891 (parents James and Emma)

James and Clementina had 3 other children who I know emigrated to the US. They landed in NY between 1880 - 1882 and then settled in Cook, Illinois.

Many of the Soutter family seem to have vanished from the UK which makes me wonder if they followed their older siblings to the US. Clementina died in 1870, hence the change in the mother's name to Emma following James's remarriage.

All help is hugely appreciated.

Hi there

Thank you to Maggie and Dave who helped me earlier. Is there anyone who can look to see if a George Hunt, his wife Clementina and 2 children Edith and Elizabeth emmigrated probably to the US c. 1880 - 1900. Clementina's brothers James and Robert Soutter travelled onboard the 'California' from London to NY arriving on 12 April 1880. Was Clementina and her husband with them?

All help is really appreciated.

Hi, hoping that someone can help me.

I am looking for the passenger list details of 2 brothers: James and Robert Soutter, born in London who travelled to the US and settled in Chicago, Illinois sometime around 1875 - 1895. Any ideas of where I can find potential passenger lists would be great. I don't know what port they sailed from or to but I don't know where to start my seach.

Fife / Help - I can't read what this says

Hoping that someone can help me to make out the name on the attached certificate.

This is the 1898 death certificate for Willliam Eckford whose parents were John Eckford and Susan

?. I have entered a number of names into Scotlands People but all are coming up blank. Those that I have tried to far are: Tult, Tuet, Yult, Yuet, Jult amd Juet.

Northumberland / Bastardy records at Hexham

Hi

Can anyone help me locate the bastardy records for 2 members of my family who when baptsied were both recorded as illegitimate.

1. Jane Rogers baptised 29 September 1805 at Hexham

2. Jane Rogers baptised 9 September 1842 at Hexham (this is the daughter of the above Jane Rogers)
