Happy New Year to you all :D
I have just found out that one of my family William Johnston Walkingshaw was buried in Ballygowan, sadly I don't know where. It would have been about the middle 1940's and I know he was not catholic but thats about all. If any one can help fill any gaps or knows of the family please let me know.
Thanks Karina

Hi
I meant to ask in my last post, how do I obtain a death cert for someone who died in Ireland in the 1940's. Sorry if this sounds a daft question

Derry (Londonderry) / Thompson/Finley Families
« on: Friday 01 September 06 14:44 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I am new to Irish research having only so far looked at the English family. I am trying to find out about my Great Grandparents William John Thompson who married Sarah Finley. All I know is that they had a large family my grandmother being one of them, was born in 1912 in Killelagh. My gramdmother was called Sarah Elizabeth, and she also had brothers called Martin (killed in WW1) and Norman as well as a number of sisters. I think the Thompson family may have been farmers. Any help would be welcome.

Cumberland Completed Lookups / 1891 help
« on: Tuesday 04 April 06 16:21 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for Charles Grundill born 1827/8 in Stockton Durham in the 1891 census. I have him in every census '41 '51 '61 '71 '81' . In 1881 he lived in Lawson Street Workington with daughter Mary and Son Charles. In late 1881 he married Sarah Yeoward. I can't find either Charles or Sarah in the 1891 census. I know they are both alive as he dies in 1893 and she in1902. I have Sarah in the 1901 census living Harbor Terrace Workington. I have tried both Ancestry and 1837 online but can't find them. Any ideas or help most welcome
