Hello
Is there a chance of saving this photograph of 12 regiments pictured with an Australian amongst the group.
Thankyou in anticipation.

This is the only photograph I have. Is there any possibility of at least giving a little clarity to this newspaper photograph.
These boys are South Australian, from Mount Pleasant and all enlisted with two making the supreme sacrifice in Gallipoli and the third losing his life in an accident in Perth, Western Australia.
I am appreciative of any change. Thankyou.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Vickery photo puzzle

I am attaching two photos...

I am thinking the single portrait is of one of the two gentlemen in the second photo. The single portrait has a label on the back for Philadelphia Photo Gallery - E. Riisfeldt - which I believe to be at King Street, Newtown from 1888 to 1890. The second photo has a label of The Cabinet Portrait, J. D. Vickery, Barnstaple... the dilemma is that I believe that the clothing for both photos is the possibly the same.
As I am trying to identify these men, I think I may now have to look for a trip back to England which may help with a date... the Vickery family came from Barnstaple in Devon and these photos were given to me as possible Vickery family photos...(photos have been edited by handypandy and DrDude45 with thanks)
I apologise for not looking at this possible link when requesting the work on the photos originally...

One photo is taken in Australia and the other in England... yet the clothing appears to be the same...

Cheers

Australia / Record of Photographers
« on: Wednesday 26 December 18 23:34 GMT (UK)  »
Is there a website or some such with a history of photographers in Australia, and in particular New South Wales.... I have a photograph with the following on the reverse...
The Great Philadelphia Photo Gallery - E. Riisfeldt - 227 King St, Newtown...

I am wanting to try to identify the person in the photo and hence would like to narrow down the year it may have been taken.

I have looked on Trove and found an advert for 1885... but not a lot else... mind you this was just a very quick search.
Any suggestions as to how to find this info would be appreciated.

Hello all
I am back again, with another two images for attention.
I have managed to change some of the settings from my previous scans, so hopefully these may be better to work with.
Many thanks
