Fife / John Kennedy Minister of East Wemyss and wife Elizabeth Rollo
« on: Monday 22 June 15 23:03 BST (UK)  »
John Kennedy was the Minister of East Wemyss prior to 1898 through at least his wife's death in 1939.  I am looking for any descendants of this couple, I know they had two sons; George Rollo Kennedy born 1901 and David born 1909.  John dies in 1963 at Windygates and Elizabeth died earlier in 1939.  I wonder if there are any photos of the couple out there since he was the Minister and if they are buried in the East Wemyss Cemetery or somewhere else. Thanks for any ideas or assistance in advance.

Gloucestershire / Littledean 1841 William EDGE & Richard NEWMAN
« on: Tuesday 23 October 12 02:51 BST (UK)  »
On Broad St. William Edge is an Innkeeper, anyone know what the name of the Inn was and where on Broad St. it was located?  My ancestor Richard Newman was a blacksmith living next door, but in the parish records (not online) he states he is an innkeeper approx 1809-1815?  Wondering if there are any photos of said Inn?  Thanks for any thoughts or ideas in advance.

I have a Patrick Hoolehan and his wife Winiford Hetherington that had a child Annie M born about 1858 in this county.  I believe he is from the townland or parish of Kneigh.  He gives his parents as John and Hanora.  Any one with connections? The family leaves before 1861 for Leeds, England and then on to America in 1865.

Perthshire / Slater family Kinfauns, Perthshire
« on: Tuesday 09 October 12 05:45 BST (UK)  »
William Slater b. 1770 in Kinfauns, married before 1796  to Jean/Jane Mac Kellar/Kellior.  Their first child Janet was born in Ochiltree, Ayrshire and lists William as a soldier and from Perthshire. William and Jane move to Perth and he is listed as a weaver living there 1800-1803 when the family is back in Kinfauns where the next nine children are born.  William's father is  listed as William Slater (nothing further is known of him) siblings of William are: Margaret b. 1767, John b. 1775 and Alexander b 1779.  Possibly mother might be Margaret Lindsay?
Thanks for any suggestions or help...

Banffshire / Thomson family of Marnoch
« on: Tuesday 09 October 12 05:20 BST (UK)  »
Looking for anyone who might have knowledge of James Thomson b.about 1766 married Barbara Scot( b.1788 in Forgue) in 1818 in Marnoch.  Their children were: Alexander and Catherine b.1819, Adam b.1821, James b 1823, George b 1825, Barbara b 1828 and Susanna b 1830.  James Sr. dies about 1832 if I read the parish records correctly. Barbara dies on Long Lane in Aberchirder on 4 Apr 1872. Barbara  lived, according to the censuses, in Lenart-Tillydown?, and the Burn of Tomy, Marnoch.  Not sure just where those places are, but would love help with location also.  Thanks much, and so glad I found this site :)
