I wonder if anyone can help with my query.........there is a building in Newbridge Hill, Bath, which has the inscription painted on the front wall which reads  'School for Young Ladies'.  Any information leading me to discover the origin of this establishment would help enormously....thank you. :)

I admit to being stumped with this name.....he was born in 1891, married in Swansea in 1924 but I have no idea where he came from......I have checked the 1891, 1901 and 1911 census but have drawn a blank.  Any help would be most appreciated  :)

These two ladies (my great aunts) have proved very difficult to track down....in my family history researches.  However....today some information has come to light stating that both ladies went to Scotland to live.....Stirling apparently..   A long shot I realise but would any posters to this board have information (anything really!) which would help me to pinpoint their whereabouts at long last :)  I have my fingers crossed....

I have an ancestor who was a footman in Potham House, Newton Valence in 1861......I can find no record of a 'Potham House' yet the census of 1861 lists a number of staff.  I would be grateful if anyone could throw any light on this query....many thanks in anticipation :)

The Common Room / presentation plaque
« on: Wednesday 27 February 13 20:44 GMT (UK)  »
An item has come into my possession which ideally I would wish to return to relatives - it concerns a brass plaque which had obviously been screwed onto a box perhaps - it was presented to Mr DE Davies by St Nicholas Church Swansea in grateful acknowledgement of valuable serives rendered as choirmaster.  It is dated Easter 1913.
Any information would be gratefully received :)
