Flintshire / Goodwin/Roberts in Mold early 1800's
« on: Saturday 14 March 09 12:02 GMT (UK)  »
Seeking further help with my ancestors from the Mold area.
Elizabeth Goodwin was bpt. 09 Jan 1831 in Mold her parents being John Goodwin & Catherine Roberts. They had - that I know of- 8 children all b. or bpt. in or around Mold between 1824 - 1840 Assuming they married  this suggests it would have been in the early/mid 1820's in the Mold area.
Has anyone got any records showing where & when & also who were their parents?
Also where & where were they b.?
My census records for Flintshire for 1841 show a difference in age of more than 10 years between them with John b. in Flintshire & Catherine outside Flintshire. However I can't find them in the 1851 or 1861 census to confirm this but some records appear to be missing or are unreadable. Can anyone assist in finding their whereabouts in these census?
Any assistance would be very welcome
Thanks

« on: Friday 13 March 09 18:47 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone help untangle one of my ancestors marriage & name problems?
Price Evans was b.in Mold in 1851- I have his birth cert which states father as Robert Evans -farmer & Ellen (nee James bpt 1826 in Mold as mother.  However the 1841 census gives Ellens name as Eleanor b. Mold. On Price's m. cert the father is given as Richard Evans.
Which names are correct & when (poss late 1840's) & where did they marry(poss Mold)?
