« on: Thursday 06 May 10 12:46 BST (UK)  »
I recently saw reference to a book titled " Stepping Back in Time, a history of Wards Creek" by Kathleen Mundee. I wrote to the printer noted on the reference, but they have moved, no forwarding address.
Can anyone help me locate a copy of this book ?

Thank you,

Waterford / Patrick Power Mary Doyle
« on: Tuesday 12 January 10 17:13 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for information on Patrick Power b.1851 in Waterford City. Who married Mary Doyle b.1867 Tipperary
According to the 1911 Census, they were married in 1885 and raised their family in Waterford City, living at 7 Well Ln in 1911.
Johanna Doyle is listed as the mother-in-law, so I am assuming that's Mary's surname .
I am trying to validate this as Mary Doyle, daughter of John and Johanna (aka Judith) Withroe Doyle of Cashel Tipperary.
Thank you,
Maureen

His godmother was Mary BUTLER.
According to his military record he was living in England by 1888. He was a bombadier with the Royal Artillary. His mother Johanna/Judith and younger brother William were listed as his contact people, living in Waterford, Johnstown.
In 1892 he married Matilda DARKE, daughter of Richard DARKE and Mary Ann VERES.
The witnesses were J. ROCKY and Lavinia DARKE I have received the registry for this.

He was a member of the Royal Garrison Artillary from 1888-1909 and 1915-1918.
In 1915 he is listed on WWI Pension Records as living at 18 Brittania Pl. Prince Rock, Plymouth, England.
In 1940 he is cited on his sisters obituary as surviving her and living in England.

Canada Lookup Requests Completed / 1851 Canada Census
« on: Thursday 24 September 09 22:05 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone know if there is any place online to view the 1851 Canada Census, besides Ancestry.com.  I am trying to view the Patrick Reardon's from New Brunswick, King's Co. Sussex. On Ancestry the record I found for them (sp. Rayordan and transcribed Ragedon) is actually the page from the 1861 Census ( the ages listed validate it as the 1861.) I have contacted Ancestry twice, but have no resolution, so I'm hoping there is some other place to view this record.
Thanks
Maureen

United States of America / Kenneth & James Robinson
« on: Monday 07 September 09 17:27 BST (UK)  »
I'm looking for information about  James Emerson Lloyd Robinson. He was born in Brockton, Mass in July 9, 1908.  His parents were John Robinson and Ella Blanche Robertson. (She may have remarried and become Ella Hale). Ella left John and moved to Oregon by the 1920 census and Washington State by 1930. He had one brother Kenneth.
I have found a record for James Lloyd Robinson who was in the Navy during WWII, lived in Washington, and is buried at Golden Gate National Cememtery. His wife was Marion Virginia Robinson. He died Oct 1, 1958. Would like to verify this is the same James.

I'm hoping to locate more of his family. He was my mother's cousin and the surviving cousins would love to know about his life, he left when he was a very young.

Thank you,
Maureen
