Hi, does anyone have any information on Henry Lewis b.c1831 in Norley who married Ann Cooper b.c1830 in Allerthorpe?

They had a few children including my G. Grandfather George Gilbert Cornwall Lewis.

Thanks.

When my dad was alive he used to tell me some of his ancestors owned a circus around about the Norfolk area, my mother insists he was pulling my leg but he always sounded serious to me, has anyone ever heard of it?

Does anyone know anything about the Bracegirdle family who lived in Warrington, Cheshire?  They were living there in 1905 onwards and probably earlier

Family History Beginners Board / Sir Herbert Aubrey Francis Metcalfe
« on: Tuesday 28 April 09 20:57 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone tell me if Sir Herbert Aubrey Francis Metcalfe went regularly to Spilsby in Lincolnshire and if he met someone called Marion or Marie Waite there?  Did he buy hunting gear from a high class riding gear/hunting gear shop that was based next to a grocers shop in Spilsby?

Family History Beginners Board / The waite family in Spilsby
« on: Monday 27 April 09 00:17 BST (UK)  »
Some of my family history is a complete mystery, apparently my Grandpas mother Marion Waite who was married to Henry Alexander Bowman had my Grandpa in Warrington and left him with a family called Bracegirdle to bring him up.

Marion Waite lived in Spilsby in Lincolnshire and apparently her father owned a couple of shops, it could be that one sold riding gear for rich people, apart from this I haven't been able to find out anything, can anyone help?

Also there is a mysterious figure called "The honourable Aubrey Francis" (presumably a false name) that figures in all this but I'm not sure exactly how or where.
