Dorset / Lookup request: Charles Ricks born 1767-1771 in Dorset, possibly Spetisbury
« on: Wednesday 20 April 11 00:07 BST (UK)  »
Charles "Rex" of Spetisbury first appears at his marriage to Ann Moore in St Mary Magdalene (C of E), Thornford 1803 and made his mark on the register.
Their children were baptised between 1804 and 1810 in the Long Street Independent/Congregationalist Chapel, Sherborne.
As Charles "Ricks" he married his second wife, Rebecca Cannock in St John Baptist (C of E), Yeovil.
His death was registered as Charles "Rix" in Yeovil in 1851 just weeks before the census.
Please can anyone look him up in Spetisbury parish records for me?
Spetisbury apparently had an Independent chapel but I cannot find any trace of its baptism records. Does anyone have any ideas how to go forward please?

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Who is the daddy?
« on: Monday 18 May 09 23:47 BST (UK)  »
Attached is the photograph of John Martin, the son of one of the brothers in the previous "Who is the daddy" post. Help would be appreciated in working out which of the brothers was his father.

8
The photograph of the two brothers really needs a retouch if anyone would help.
One brother is James, a stable-keeper and the other brother is William, three years younger, an innkeeper and the father of John Martin who is shown sitting alone in the photographer's studio in the following post (due to size of attachment limitations).
The problem is that we do not know which brother is which. Please can anyone take a guess which of the brothers is the daddy?
