Hampshire & Isle of Wight / Winifred Dibley (nee Gough)
« on: Monday 21 March 22 18:43 GMT (UK)  »
Ok thanks everyone for taking the time to help.

Another request for help

Winifred Dibley (nee Gough) had an illegitimate son William born in 1823 in Newbury. Some trees on Ancestry have him marrying (as William Dibley) Eliza Crook(s) on the 4th May 1844 in Shaw-cum-Donnington Berkshire. Please does anyone have access to this marriage record who can verify who he names as his father.

« on: Monday 21 March 22 14:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

Thomas Lynch married Sarah Anne Dibley in 1862 (marriage registered in Andover Hampshire in the September Q).
I would like to know who Sarah's father was without having to order the marriage certificate.
Please can anyone help?

Berkshire Lookup Requests / Looking for a marriage possibly Cookham/Bray 1828-1832
« on: Tuesday 15 September 20 13:34 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I'm looking for a marriage between a Richard Barker and a Rebecca Shorter possibly in the Cookham/Bray/Maidenhead area about 1828-1832. I've looked on Ancestry, FindMyPast and Familysearch, no joy so am wondering if someone might have access to parish registers for the area that might be able to help me.

Kind regards
Chris

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / DNA Query
« on: Sunday 09 August 20 11:48 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I have already had a DNA test done with Ancestry and have an account with them and now my husband is thinking of having his DNA test done. Does anyone know if he needs his own ancestry membership or can I add his test results to my account?

Hi,

I am trying to work out what the word just before "of this parish" for the groom in this marriage record is.

I have worked out that the image says Joseph Wade (then the word I can't read) "of this parish" widower  and Martha Grubb of this parish spinster were married in this church by banns  this twenty first day of November 1831

On almost all the other marriage records for this parish at this time there does not seem to be a word written before "of this parish" so I am wondering if this groom had a prominent role in the parish or maybe some unusual occupation.

Any help gratefully received.

Chris

Hi All,

Reposted as originally posted on wrong board.

I am hoping to trace someone who sailed to Quebec Canada in 1950 and wondered if anyone knows of any websites that may be of help to me. I already have the deatils for him from the passenger list but am trying to progress forward from here.

TIA
