I have a couple who were married in Barony I believe. They were Robert Young and Janet Wardrop, 7th Jun 1793.

I also believe he was a cornmiller.

Can anyone help me find anything else about them - their parents, where they lived or where they went to after their marriage (it might have been Cumbernauld, they had children there later on) but there is a seven year gap between their marriage and their first child born in Cumbernauld in 1800.

Following on from a previous thread and some invaluable help I received there - does anyone have access to, or know where I could find online, Trade Directories for Stirling between the years 1901 and 1910 . I have a Robert Young working as a draper in the 1901 census then owning a shop in Yorkshire in 1911 and a family photo (on previous thread) which was apparently his first shop which he opened in partnership with someone else in Stirling.
The Stirling shop was on Baker Street next door to where McCulloch and Young's was situated. There is probably going to be some link between the two shops/owners but I'm trying to find out what it might be and tracing who owned them might be a good starting point.

I'm trying to trace information about an ancestor called Robert Young. He married a Janet Wardrop(e) in Glasgow on 7/6/1793 then move to Kirkintilloch in Dunbartonshire and had a son called Robert born about June 1800. I would like to find any other children of the marriage or info about the first Robert or his wife's deaths if possible.The younger Robert stayed in the area so I'm presuming his father did as well.

I have a direct ancestor called John McKay Gunn who told the family he came from Orkney, although in the censuses and on his marriage cert it just says Scotland. So far I have not been able to trace him or his family. I hope someone can help or point me in a suitable direction.

John McKay Gunn born about 1830
On marriage cert gives father as John Gunn, farmer.

He moved to England prior to his marriage in 1861.

Hi, Can any one find the marriage of a Henry BERRY please? Maybe about 1830/4 (daughters born 1834 and 35). His wife was Grace but last name unknown.
Henry died in 1837 in Tiverton and Grace moved to Somerset and remarried.
