Hi there.

I'm attempting to trace the parents and family of Grace Ellison. Grace was born in 1823 and married Moses Duxbury in 1846. Her father's name was John and he is listed as a farmer on the marriage certificate.

In 1841 the family is, I believe living at a farm near Ribchester and cosists of:

John Ellison  Head
Jane Ellison  Wife
Grace Ellison Daughter

I believe that Grace may have had a sister Isabella, who is witness to her marriage: 

Isabella Ellison Daughter

I know it's not much to go on, but would appreciate any help people may offer.

I'm attempting to pin down the roigins of my ancestor Alfred Baines. The first I can find of him is on the 1891 (notable only by his absence from '71 & '81)census for Manchester, where he gives his age as 34 and his birthplace as Kidsgrove, Staffordshire. Unfortunately this is the only information I have for him.

On the 1861 Census for Kidsgrove he should appear (I hope!) as Alfred Baines, age 4 years.

I realise that this is not much information, and indeed is a bit of a shot in the dark, but fingers crossed.

Hi there, attempting to trace the family of George Elliott.

George was born in Great Glen, Leicestershire in 1838/1839.

Not much to go on I know, but in searching through 1871/81/91 have found no other elliott's for the area.

Any help greatfully received.
