I am going to post this in the Dublin forum because it's the only information I am sure of.
My great great great grandfather, Michael Coyne, married a woman named Carolin Langstaff on the 27th of December 1852 in St. Pauls. No ages, addresses or parents are recorded, just the two witnesses, 'Joseph Fegan' and 'Eliza Nicholas'.
I found the cert on the Irish Family History Foundation site but I can't find the marriage registered with the Civil Registration Index. So does this mean the information was just scribbled down in the church but never registered?
The rumour from a distant relative is that this woman came from France but with only a name, and no region, apparently I can't search French records. I think this might be the end for Caroline in my tree
I have posted this information on a few sites but no luck. If anyone can think of anything I can try I'd love to hear from you!
