Roscommon / Duffy Family - Help needed to move onwards.
« on: Friday 07 December 18 10:29 GMT (UK)  »
Hello all,
I don't know whether I should revive this chat or start anew.. But anyway I am also researching the Family of Edward Duffy and Catherine Jordan. Of their many children ,I looking at their son Edward(Born 10 Feb 1864 Moyne ). He married Mary SHARKEY 30 April 1896 in Breedogue. It is this Mary who is in the 1901 census in Loughglinn with the widowed Edward Senior and is shown as his daughter-in-law. In 1911 census she is still at Loughglinn , married with daughter , Bee Jane(Bridget Jane ) who is 14. (B 1897)
Her husband Edward is not listed for either of these 2 census. When daughter marries in 1914 she names her father as Edward a farmer(not deceased it seems) .
I cannot find Edward the husband anywhere. The last record I can find is that it was he who registered his daughter's birth.
Can anyone help me find the elusive Edward ?
Thanks
Erin

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / WILLIAM SULLIVAN BIRTH about 1846
« on: Tuesday 13 September 11 09:24 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to track down my SULLIVAN family. M g-grandfather WIlliam SULLIVAN and wife Ann DONEGAN .  I am after Williams birth which according to census would be about 1846 and says born Pontypool. I have able to find one William in 1851 census (Trevethin, Monmouthshire) that seems about right. If so his father was Daniel SULLIVAN and mother Mary. Both born Cork Ireland.

William's marriage to Ann also not found and they were living in Canton by 1871 with one son Daniel (aged 1)

I can't see anything in freebmd though. Also on the look for how to find if any catholic registers for the area.

Fingers crossed

Erin SULLIVAN

Occupation Interests / Church of England Clergy after 1900
« on: Sunday 03 April 11 00:28 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone know if there is a record of clergy AFTER 1900. I am looking for some information on Alexander St John HEARD. I know he was rector at Mulbarton in Norfolk from 1944 - 55 and it appears he died in 1955. I am trying to find what happened to his wife and family and anything at all really as the above is all I have about his life after he returned to Uk from Australia in 1925. His father was also a clergyman "Henry James Heard" as was his grandfather "John Bickford HEARD". 2 Brothers Henry Fitzgerald HEARD (known as Gerald HEARD the philosipher and writer) and Robert Jame Bannatyne HEARD who died in WW1 in Egypt.

He was born Ireland as was his father.

Thanks for any help
