Roscommon / Elizabeth Williams nee Flannagan

All I know about my Great Grandmother is:-

Elizabeth Williams was born in Wolverhampton. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Williams (nee Flanagan) and William Williams.

Elizabeth Flanagan Williams was the daughter of Michael Flanagan who came to Birmingham in the 1840's from Roscommon, Ireland and was a mattress maker/upholsterer. He married Ann Latham and had three daughters.

I know nothing about William Williams.

If anyone can help with any extra information about Elizabeth Flanagan and Michael Flanagan it would be great.

I know my grandmothers father is the above born 1850 in Great Staughton Saint Neots Kimbolton Huntingdonshire

That he lived in Smethwick staffordshire on 1901 census married to Sarah child Florence(my Grandmother

but know knowledge about his parents or Sarah his wife. Can anyone help with any information Please.

does any one know about the English that went to Mayo from Chorlton-Cum-Hardy in Lancashire and the Irish that went from Mayo to Chorlton and why , was it work ? or other reasons. If they know names it may be useful of some of these people.

(This is a very long shot as we have very little information)

can anybody provide any information on the above from Chorlton originally West Derby

If this is the correct person his ancestors worked for the Knox Family of wealth who owned land in England and Eire and Michael Rogers on the 1901 census in co Mayo is a later relative.

Their seemed to be Irish and English going to and from Chorlton and Co Mayo

Canada Lookup Request / onterio birth look up for 1911

Hi,

I looked up how to apply for a copy of a relatives birth certificate but I can only fill in bits of information as I only have certain data so it would not be acceptable.

I need to know is if the person was born there no copies required.(by some sort of look up)

Is it possible for someone to look up if their was a birth in Canada the information I have is as follows:-

For William Clayton born July 11th 1911 or (June 1910 in Smethwick in UK, cannot find anything for this so looking at Canada in Ontario Ingersoll Oxford or Sault Ste. Marie

(The mother left Liverpool name- Florence Clayton(married) via Empress of Ireland landed at Quebec Sept 1910.)

Father William Clayton mothers Maiden name Florence Taylor.

Hi,

Can anyone help with information about Elizabeth Williams

I understand that my grandmother as above subject was born in paisley Scotland born 06th Aug 1878

She acted/sang in Old time Music hall known as Patricia Connaughton

She later married a Mr Fogg ( thats all I know) then had several children.

Later marrying a Robert Wallace from Northern Ireland in Mar 1915 then had more children became a successful business woman later both living in Walsall Staffordshire.

She died in Walsall 6th May 1954
