New Zealand / Query re digitised wills on Archway
« on: Wednesday 22 May 19 20:41 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I notice some wills are available to download directly on the Archway website. I have downloaded my grandfather's will from 1980 yet I have others back in the late 1960s that aren't even available on the Family Search website. Can anyone tell me the reasoning behind what appears to be random digitising.

« on: Thursday 18 April 19 19:51 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone

Hope someone can assist with this query. I am looking for someone to transcribe recent birth, marriage and death certificates and email at a reasonable cost. The service I have used in the past is no longer available. Has anyone used this type of service and can recommend someone?

Many thanks

Hi Everyone

Attached is a copy of the relevant page of a relatives Royal Marines service record. My question is what is the relevance of the entries in the box - Wounds, hurt certifcates etc.  ( WS1 3, WS1 4 etc)
I have googled but not come up with much.
Look forward to any assistance.

« on: Sunday 14 October 18 17:58 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Can anyone help with this query. Not sure if this is the best board for this query or the US board but here goes. I have a distant relative who was in the US Army in WW11 who committed suicide in 1943. He had enlisted early in 1942 and I wanted to know what medals he may have been eligible for??

Hi
Hope the experts can help.
I have been looking for details of my grandparent's burials in Rotorua cemetery and when searching on the cemetery database it comes up with all their details and location in the cemetery but it says no image available. Does this mean there is no headstone. Names are Frederick Howard and Elizabeth Cameron Stevenson.

Many thanks

Hi all

I have quite a lot of information on this relative and I know most of the medals he was awarded but I am trying to identify the ribbons on his uniform in the attached photo. Date taken is unknown. William enlisted as a regular in 1946 and died of his wounds 9th September 1950. I have the list of medals from the Korean War Veterans Memorial Honor Roll and these include - Purple Heart, National Defense medal, Korean service medal, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea War Service medal, Combat Infantryman Badge. Also the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit citation.
I am presuming this photo would have be taken before Korea so my hunch is the ribbons don't really relate to Korea. I have looked at the many websites about ribbons and badges but can't seem to identify anything.
Any thoughts from anybody would be good.
