Kent Completed Lookup Requests / JAMES FRIEND 1841 Census Lookup
« on: Wednesday 13 April 05 15:57 BST (UK)  »
Could I get some kind soul to look up the 1841 census for James Friend born 1799 his family would include wife Catherine born 1802 son Joseph Hunter born 1828, son James Giles Friend born 1830 daughter Catherine Ratcliff born 1833 son Richard Benjamin born 1835 and son Abraham born 1837.  They were living in Farningham when Richard and Abraham were born, James working as a gate keeper. On the 1851 Census they were living at 19 London Road, Charlton, Kent, England, now James was a pork butcher. He lived on London Road until his death in 1871.
Any help would be appreciated.

Cheshire Completed Lookup Requests / 1861 Census Lookup Please
« on: Sunday 06 February 05 02:06 GMT (UK)  »
Looking for William Brown age 43, shoemaker, was a widower on 1871 census living at Duke St. St. Mary on the Hill, Chester, Cheshire. Known family would be William age 10, born Chester, Cheshire on the 1871 census he had lost the use of his limbs and was listed as a shoemaker also and Henry age 5 born Chester, Cheshire. There may be another son Frederick age unknown and possibly a daughter Betsy age unknown. William senior was born in Chowbent, Lancashire. Hoping the 1861 census will give some clues as to his wife and rest of family.  The ages quoted are what they would be in 1861.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Norfolk / RICHARD HAMMOND-Birth
« on: Sunday 30 January 05 17:57 GMT (UK)  »
 ???
I am trying to find the birth record of RICHARD HAMMOND born abt 1819-1823. The censuses say Sparham and Billingford. I checked the Sparham parish registers and found nothing. His parents are Richard Hammond and Mary, I have a possible marriage for his father to Mary Clarke 4 Jul 1808. I have found father and son on the 1851 census, father was listed as 76 born Bradenham and son listed as 28 born Billingford. If some kind soul could do a lookup in Billingford to see whats there I would be extremely greatful. As there are 2 Billingfords in Norfolk, I believe its the one near Diss as they where in Lyng and Sparham on the Censuses. I checked the one for Billington with Marton Parva but found nothing so Diss looks like the one, there was no marriage there for the father and the records did not cover the son's birth years.
Thanks

Kent Completed Lookup Requests / Rachel Friend - 1861 Census Lookup
« on: Wednesday 19 January 05 06:44 GMT (UK)  »
I have a Rachel Friend that witnessed my ggrandfather's Marriage, Abraham Friend and Ann Pattison, Buckland, Kent 06 Aug 1865. I find her in the 1871 Census in Reading, Berkshire as a domestic servant age 36( on 1881, 1891, 1901 census she is 45,55,65) she is listed as married on all the censuses. I am trying to find out who she married. If sks could see if they could find her on the 1861 census this might help. Her birth place is listed as Dover, Kent. Year of birth abt 1835/36. She was in Buckland, Dover in 1865 for Abraham's Marriage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
