Lincolnshire / Robert Dexter 1810 Colsterworth

I have Robert Dexter with wife Susannah (1806) in Leek Staffs in 1851 and in Penarth Glamorgan in 1861 (shown as Robt & Susan) but nothing else.
Can anyone find any info about Robert please ? I am hoping he may a relative to William and John Dexter both of Colsterworth, children of John and Ann.
Any info might help me to tie up 2 Dexter families who "hover" between Colsterworth Lincs and Stretton in Rutland.

Also can anyone give an approximate date - I suspect the boys clothing is the best clue.

Can someone date this photo. I believe it may be my gt/grandfather but no-one in the family recognises the image. I'm just going on family resemblance and the fact that it was with my father's belongings.

Technical Help / Windows 10 upgrade

I run Windows 7 Home premium at the moment and am keen to update and upgrade to Windows 10wjile it is still free.
However, I still run one or two quite old programmes, eg Family Tree Maker 9.0 and Office '97 both of which I use a lot and are vital. I keep all my ancestors on Excel databases.
I do have up to date antivirus, spam detection etc.

As I am not at all technical I am anxious in case something goes wrong as I don't think I have sufficient know-how to put it right.

Any help and advice very welcome.

London and Middlesex / Richard Samuel J Hastings & Elizabeth Wise

I have been looking for a marriage between John Hastings and Elizabeth Wise between 1881 and 1891 in Middlesex area and came across one between Richard Samuel J Hastings and Elizabeth Wise in 1883 Hackney and am wondering if Richard called himself John and that this is the one I am looking for. It fits the timescale and area where they lived.
I believe their fathers' were Samuel and Thomas - can anyone confirm their father's names please?

Look up for birth of James Hall b abt 1827. He was a File Cutter and married Catherine Creswick in 1851. From his ma cert his father was a Mason. James had a brother Henry b abt 1820 and from Henry's ma cert their father is Henry a plasterer decd by 1880.
At the time of James' marriage he lived at Bailey Lane and in 1874 was buried in St Phillips Eccleshall Bierlow.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have anncestor on the 1851 cen who says he was born there but I can't find it anywhere.

Looking for the ma of Henry HALL to Hannah/Ellen/Elenor Fieldhouse possibly in Hunslet abt 1840 -1850
First child Henry was born 1846.

Hannah's father I believe was Benjamin and she was born about 1820 in Kirkstall.
Henry was b in Sheffield so ma could p[ossibly be in that area.

I am hoping to fine the name of Henry's father from this marriage to help me get further back in his family. Any help greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find a marriage for Henry Hall b abt 1823 in Sheffield to Hannah Fieldhouse b abt 1820 in Kirkstall Leeds (or Hunslet) I think they both lived in the Hunslet area in 1841 then moved to Nottinghamshire where they are living with 3 children in 1851.

I believe they would have married about 1844/5 as their first child Henry was born in 1846, the second Hansom in 1847 and Emily in 1850.

I desperately need to find this marriage so I can get the name of Henry's father to help me progress (or is that move back?).

If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

I also have a Birth Certificate which anyone interested can have. It is of Henry Hall son of George Prince Hall and Ellen Hall(nee Halstead) b 18/1/1846 Leeds West. I thought it was Henry the son of Henry and Hannah and ordered it erroneously.
