Hi James
I just wrote you this really long message and then at the end of it i lost it. Grrr.
anyway now very briefly your Prudence did not lose her parents in 1842 her Aunty prudence did- sister to james armstrong (gameskeeper) it was Catherine and Thomas Armstrong their parents who died before 1842.
And there must of been alot of armstrong children in between our margaret and prudence, however we are the only two siblings i know about.
also james armstrongs wife jane may have been a Johnstone and married in 1827, when I order a death cert of Margrets (she died in Australia) I will surly let you know, though alot of the time the family members (here in Australia) did not know their wife or mothers maiden name. Probably because of little contact back home and by old age they were really struggling with drinking problems.
Anyway james my first draft was clearer, but lost so take care and talk soon Sharon

Hi James
Thank you very much for the information on Prudence Armstrong, very pleased to add a sister, as Margaret must of had contact with her family whilst living in Australia, because when she died the notice in the Sydney papers were noted to send her information to Home in Fermanagh to their newspaper. There must of been quite a few siblings inbetween them, as our papers said she was the eldest daughter. On reading her Aunty Prudence emigration paperwork it is noted that the parents are deceased by 1841, and that Prudence was born in Kesh, so maybe likely that James Armstrong the younger brother and siblings may have gone to Castle Archdale to a Grandparent (maybe The Thomas you mentioned in the census). Thankyou again for this and if you have any more information I would love to hear it. Are you in Ireland? looking forward to hearing from you.  Sharon

hi KM
thanks for reply. I made a mistake with Jane her last  name was not McKnight, unknown at this stage. Her husband James Armstrongs sister Prudence married a McKnight.
