Oh that is sad news, awful to hear about buildings that were once so special being destroyed.

Hi Norrie,

Thank you for checking, I just know that they were buried somewhere in Kirkaldy, and the year for Agnes was about 1909, not sure about Andrew. The did live in Kirkaldy, but it is just family chat that they have a stone, so it might not be.

Thanks again

Hi Norrie,

Many thanks for your offer, I wonder if you can check your collection for an Andrew Dryburgh and wife Agnes Wilson.

Thank you

Hi
I found Roderick Ross,s death, Jan 7 1864 at Johnshaven aged 68, his father was a James Ross, soldier, no mother named.
Roderick was a Chelsea Pensioner.

I wonder if there were any more Forsyth siblings I have been searching but nothing so far.

Looks like I got it right!
After a day on Scotlandspeople and plenty of odd spellings, I found Elizabeth Forsyth b. abt 1802, died in Arbroath in 1873, she was indeed the daughter of Alexander Forsyth and Elizabeth Graham, her gt nephew John Riley signed her death cert, so we now know John Forsyth had at least two sisters, as Elizabeth was living in 1851 with Roderick Ross, as a sister in law, Roderick was a widower, his wife was Jean Forsyth, with them was Alexander Forsyth, a nephew, age is a bit out, but this would have been him.

John Forsyth and Mary Bain's daughter Elizabeth Forsyth, died jul 11 1905, at the Poorhouse Stonehaven.
The reason I couldn't find her was she went under the name Betsy.

Hi again,

I have just been through my Forsyth notes again and wonder if you have any siblings for John Forsyth b. Kilmuir Wester.

In 1851 John and Mary are still in Cromarty, Alexander their son is in Johnshaven, living with Roderick Ross, an Uncle, I checked the IGI and a Roderick Ross married a Jean Forsyth 1823 Cromarty, also living with them is Elizabeth Forsyth, Roderick's sister in law, are these two John Forsyth's siblings? or have I got it wrong?
Do you have any more on them?

I also have no death for Elizabeth Forsyth, John and Mary Bains daughter, cant seem to find it, did you ever manage?

Thank you genechaser,

I often wondered what colour her dress would have been, this looks really good. I find it fascinating what you can all do.

Tony, that is a really good texture, thank you
