Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Elusive Milwards in 1841 - Redditch
« on: Monday 23 August 10 07:25 BST (UK)  »
Hello Friends,
I have a Millward link in Birmingham and wondered if she is related to any of you.
She is Ann Maria MILLWARD , button coverer of 5 Lower Camden Street, Birmingham (and daughter of george MILLWARD, a Cooper). She married William PIPER, a bricklayer, on 11 may 1873 at All saints Church, Birmingham.

Is Ann Maria related to anyone reading this?

I'd love more info on Mary's marriage please. Send me a privaet message and I'll respond.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / DIGNAN - Birmingham Archives lookup request
« on: Wednesday 03 March 10 07:45 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone please look up a coroners inquest record at Birmingham Central Library Archives for the following;
Bridget DIGNAN died 29 June 1889. Inquest held 2 July 1889.

Bridget lived at 46 Smithfield Passage, Birmingham and was wife of Patrick DIGNAN a bricklayers labourer.

The surname is sometimes spelled DIGNAM.
I'd be very grateful for any help.
Thanks Bargee girl

Canada / New info for Myra Buckley
« on: Monday 15 February 10 08:24 GMT (UK)  »
My last posting suggested Myra Elizabeth Buckley (who I now know arrived in Toronto in 1922 aged 16 years, from Birmingham England) married a William GRIELLUS in Toronto. New info just to hand suggests his name might in fact have been William GILLIES (or variant).

The two would have married after 1923 (when both were witnesses at her Aunts wedding in Toronto). Her address at that time was 74 Grace Street, Toronto. His may have been 38 Tennis (?) Crescent , Toronto.

Can anyone help locate a possible marriage for the two. Otherwise a birth of their son William. Or a death/burial.

Second question............does anyone know if the two streets mentioned still exist in Toronto ?

Thanks friends!

Maybe the surname I was told (GRIELLUS) was a misspelt French or French-Canadian surname........any suggestions from French-speaking Canadians out there regarding what the surname could be?

Jacquie and Karenlee..........yes, I think the surname GRIELLUS is a dud. I'll stick to searching for Myra BUCKLEY and unknown male only.
You have both been very helpful. Thankyou
