Thanks for your reply!
Amos is the main family I am researching as well! that's where I get the names Scott and Laidlaw from!
A couple of names in my Amos tree are William, James, Walter, all regular names! They originate from the borders and around Selkirkshire and Roxburghshire, Scotland.
Is this your tree?

Regards,
Sheila.

Also, I been trying to find out where the name Gray came from and I see you've got Grey as a surname! I've got a James Gray Amos from 1866!

Allowing for spelling mistakes and how the Mothers surname was passed down as well,,, !

This is all good!
Kind regards
Sheila.

Hi! I'm just making contact because I've got Scotts and Laidlaw's on my tree, although not any of these christian names yet.  I've got Helen Scott b.1834 and her Father Andrew Scott (no date yet) but,,, what brought me to your post was the Laidlaws! I've got 6 at the moment! from 1824 til the last death in 1936.
I may well come back to you and ask you for those certificates...
Thank you for your generous offer.

Kind regards
Sheila.
