Thanks for your response. John Dickson was married in Lurgan, Ireland around 1839/40 but I don't have a certificate. Not sure if I'm able to get one in Ireland. Will give it a try.

Just having a bit of a problem verifying, with certainty, my paternal Great Great Grandfather's parents names. He was JOHN DICKSON - some trees have given him a second christian name of 'SLEIGH' - who was born on the 20/9/1818 in Coldingham, Berwickshire. I have his life sorted as there is a lot of info about him but If anyone could help me with his parent's names I would be grateful. An 'Elizabeth Liddle' is named on one person's tree if that is of any help but not sure where that's come from. Thank you.

Thank you so much. I did have a Jane as a possibility & I will now go with that line.. I am very grateful; methinks, if I get the time, I can possibly finish the tree by Xmas Day! Thanks again.

Am having a problem trying to verify the parents of a Robert Charles (?) Jones b. Llanfair Talhaiarn, Denbighshire 1847 who married a Margaret Jones b. Liverpool 1845 & had 5 children, the first two born out in Chile where Robert was a Missionary or a Calvanistic Methodist Minister.
I thought I had the correct line through a William & Hannah Jones in Llanfair Talhaiarn but I now think not. I can't really apply for a birth certificate without pretty definite evidence that I have the right Robert. Can any of you wonderful folk put me on the right track? I could then hopefully give the Xmas gift I was hoping to give! Thank you.

Am just trying to complete a tree for a friend & am struggling to find anything much on her Grandfather - a George David Rustill b. Hambledon, Surrey 1857 m. Isabella Wheatcroft b. Hull 1868 in Oct./Nov./Dec.1891 in Armley, Leeds. They had a son George Samuel b. Leeds 1894, a daughter Maud Wheatcroft b. Leeds 1896, a son Charles b. & d. 1898, a daughter Ruby Wheatcroft b. Haverfordwest 1901, a daughter Irene Wheatcroft b. Hull 1904 & a son Charles b. Hull 1907.
I believe George David died in Hull in 1907, possibly before the birth of his son Charles. Rumour has it that George David was a Deep Sea Diver & drowned doing this work. I can find nothing on him or any of the above in the 1891, 1901 or 1911 Censuses. Any help to fill in this person's life a little & the whereabouts of his family when they were young, would be very gratefully received.

Thank you for that information re Florence. I didn't know there was a son or that she was a Nurse. Will have a look at that.
