Looking for a grave of a Charles Goodwin who is thought to have died on the road between Coffs and Ebor sometime after 1875. Did yo find any Goodwin graves at Ebor? Many thanks.

Hello Bryant,

Thanks for your time and info.

I have previously come across the Samuel Brown, transported in 1837 on the Emma Eugenia (whats another convict - I've already got four including two on the First fleet). He fits the profile reasonably well except for his age. This one was granted a pardon in April 1844. Mine married in 1851 and was fairly prosperous and well regarded when he died in 1907.  The prosperity part does not fit well in the ex-convict profile back in those days.

I'll check on the other possibilites that you have mentioned. I have also come across another Samuel Brown : baptised Essex 1823.

Again,
Many thanks.

Trying to trace the history of a Samuel William Brown, christened Waltham Abbey, Essex 5 Sep 1819 (born 9 August 1819 to John and Sarah Brown : other children were Sarah, John, Charles and Mary Ann. I am searching for a Samuel William Brown who turned up in Australia in c1837 - how, when and why he ended up in Australia can not be located - hence, am now trying to trace all "Samuel William Browns" I can find who were born around the London area (and surrounding counties) for the years 1815 to 1826. In Australia, he always used his full name ie "Samuel William Brown", so at this stage am concentrating on the those using the full name.
I know that he was not the Samuel William Brown born 1821 to William Brown and Adelaide Hucks.
