hi to Chris,Daisy,& Welsh Lady, i have sent away for parish records for Chatteris,Cambs.
Welsh Lady has got the right family, with my gt grandfather joseph 8 yrs,who went on to have his own family of 12 children,so must have a lot of cousins out there. :o i have been to Cambridge records office and they said the same as Welsh Lady, maybe he was not registered as it was not enforced. When i receive parish records will check out Daisy's theory. So thank you all for your help.
