Hi,I am sure that this is my grandfather. He was in Veterinary Corp.
He was called William Claud Frecknall, but was always known as Claud.
He was born in Hampshire, moved to Staffordshire with his parents later on, and spent a few years in Canada. After the war after a few years back in Hampshire he lived the rest if his life in Dunmow Essex.
Let me know if you want any more info.

Jane

Really interesting to see the replies and to know the house they lived in is still there.
My g grandafther was Williams second son Frederick,b in 1858 in Wiltshire. The first child born in Milford was Henry in 1867.Frederick also became a schoolteacher, in Pennington initially.
Not sure why so many died:I did read there wa a cholera epidemic in Milford in 1892,but also a cousin of mine, a Frecknall, was born with a congenital heart condition.

My g grandfather Rev Joseph Wenyon died in SA in 1884/5.He was a wesleyan who was in Bethlehem for a short period. He was joined by his wife Frances Wenyon.
My grandmother Frances Lynette Wenyon was born in 1884 in Durban.
I have not been able to find any of them on passenger lists, nor any birth or death certs.
Where is the best place to look?

And just seen this.!!
Rosalind is my mother. She is alive and well!
I need to work out the relationship.I have had a gap in doing family history as you can see.
Have just found the marriage of Georgina to Albert Bowley.Did you know that Georgina and Selina both  emigrated to Canada in 1926,to London Ontario?
Claude Frecknall went out in 1911 with Ansell Stonehill and came back to join up around 1914.I think Georgina may have married him after Alberts death..I am not sure.
Hope you read this if you do perhaps we can swop more info.
