« on: Saturday 05 April 14 22:16 BST (UK)  »
Looking for some information on Joseph McCormick, born abt 1758 in Scotland. Joseph had a son, David born 1785 in Nova Scotia, Canada. Sadly we do not have Joseph's wife's name, or when he would have come to Canada.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Buckinghamshire / Boer War records
« on: Monday 01 February 10 00:47 GMT (UK)  »
I recently found out that my great grandfather, Thomas William Bull, fought in the Boer War in 1901, and then came to Canada in 1905.
Does anyone know if I could get ahold of a copy of his war records?

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for the information. It seems interesting.
What I was looking for was if one could get copies of the soldier's Boer War military record. I ask because we don't know much about my great grandfather as he disappeared early in 1901. My grandmother was about 3 and never talked about her dad. It has only been recently that I found out he served in the Boer War in 1901 and the came to Canada, settling in Saskatchewan. My grandmother lived in B.C. from 1925 on and it seems did not know her father was so close.
As you can guess I would like to find out as much as I can about him for my father who is 83, as well as to pass down to my children and so on.

Buckinghamshire / George REYNOLDS born 1827 in Padbury
« on: Saturday 02 August 08 09:13 BST (UK)  »
Could someone please help me?
I have George Reynolds born 1827 in Padbury married to Sarah Morris (born about 1828) and married in July 1849 in Padbury. So far I have found 3 sets of parents for George Reynolds -- John Reynolds born 1789 in Padbury married to Elizabeth George (born 1787) Sept 24, 1809 in Twyfold, Bucks.
2) Thomas Reynolds born 1800 and married Jane Godfrey Nov 13, 1826.
and 3) William Reynolds born 1793 and married to Sarah Anstee.
Does anyone have information as to who the correct parents are?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
