Thank you both, I did wonder but it was the  lead into the 'O' which I thought looked like an 'e', but now that you have both said Cox it could be the lead in from the 'c' to the 'o', a great help, thanksso much.

Don't know if anyone can help please, the attached is written on the back of a postcard, I have identified the address as 16 Tennyson Road, Bath but it's the name of the person I am struggling with, any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Recently found the attached document among my late fathers things, can anyone throw any light at all on what it might be. Inside is a menu and on the back it appears that many, if not all, of the people attending have signed it. Many thanks in advance.

That's interesting as Ranelagh Road is still very much there, maybe the Chalgrave Terrace at one end, thanks for the information.

Can anyone give me any information on either or both of these Terraces. I believe they have been been near Weymouth Railway station. They appear on an 1891 census. Thanks

Thanks so much everyone for your input, I have a feeling you may be right Istrice I have just found something else from Jerusalem, so it looks as though my father may well have been there, so photo 2 is still a mystery. I may send for my fathers military records, but I do already have a lot of information, just not where exactly he fought.  Everyone has certainly been a help though, thanks again.

Thanks Carol - not sure about Italy as I think he was in North Africa at some point, greatful for response though. Shanreagh - Dad was in The Queen's Royal Regiment and I have his service number, have tried to Google Military Records but can seem to get anywhere, Subscribe to Ancestry.co.uk but he does not show on their Military Records. Greatful for your input though.

Hi
Can anybody help in identifying where the attached photos were taken. I have no date for the group photo but the one with two people (one my late father) is dated  May 19th 1945. I think the other photo may be 1943, but not sure. Thanks in advance.
