Looking for someone willing to go to St. Laurence Church/Cemetery and check with the office for any Ellis burials dating from 1700 to 1890. If there is another older cemetery in the area, please advise.  Thanks,  Marilyn

Sure wish I could connect to one of these families. What part of Cavan County Ireland were your families from? Thanks,  Marilyn

Hi and thank you for the information on the Wilson's.  This is the right family, however, William and Esther Coots Wilson were both born in Cavan Co. Ireland. I am not at home where my records are, but when I return I will email you again. The best you can, give me your descent down to William and Esther. I will try to fill in the pieces when I return home.  Thanks,  Marilyn

Alan, I have been helping Les with his Ellis family research and I am enjoying the exchange with the two of you. Is there a  church/cemetery where the Ellis family buried their people? Did they have a family plot and does the sexton of the cemetery have a register for burials? If so, who would Les contact to get information on Ellis and other surname burials? Any chance you have a digital camera and could take pictures of grave markers and email them to him? Many times those grave markers offer genealogical information to connect to other family members. Thank you for your input and help!  Marilyn

Cheshire / Ellis Families Runcorn Cheshire

My Ellis family resided in the Runcorn District from the 1700's into the late 1800's when the area became part of Lancashire England.  I am hoping to share information and find maiden names of some of my female ancestors.

Given names for the men: Joseph, Samuel, Charles, John and James were passed on from generation to generation.

Other surnames linked with the Ellis families were: Ratcliffe, Hignett, Williams and LLoyd.  Any help or direction will be appreciated.  Thanks, Les
