Hi Jenn,

I was able to get a print out from the caretaker at Echuca of who/where the graves are for all the Stanleys listed. I also have an obituary for both Mary Ann & John that I was able to get copied from the Echuca Historical Society.

William Stanley was buried on 19.3.1885 - I'm not sure who the Scott was who is buried in the same grave - I can only speculate it may be either another baby or his mother??

I also have a bit of info on another Mary Ann Stanley who married a Thomas Joseph Stanley - i'm not sure where this branch comes in as I have only found a Thomas Roy Stanley who died at 7 months...

Hi,

Just been doing a bit of research on the STANLEY family and came across your thread. I have just returned home from a trip to Echuca and found a few interesting things in the cemetery there - the caretaker Wayne and the ladies at the Historical Society were an excellent help.

I was looking for a Mary Ann & John Stanley - who I found were both buried with their young son Ernest in an unmarked grave. I also found a William Stanley who died at 4 months of age and was buried 19.03.1885 - curiously, he is buried with someone with the last name of SCOTT ..... There are 2 Mary Ann Stanleys buried at Echuca and one John. Mary Ann & John also had a son named John Stanley....
