I can see that first children named James & Sophia could indicate the Gilston baptism, but also note that there are various online family trees that state that John Pigrum was born 1784 in Tamil NDu Madras India?

Married at Gilston …… James Pigram, of the Parish of Gilston, in the County of Hertford, and Sophia Love, of the Parish of Sawbridgenorth of the same County, we’re married in this Church by license, this tenth day of January , in the year 1782. Both signed (badly/barely) and the witnesses were regular witnesses to other marriages that day.

Another avenue to look at is the relationship to the witnesses at John’s marriage, as the favour (for witness Susan at least) is returned less than a month later…

20 Oct 1861 Holy Trinity Newington,
John Daniels boiler maker married Susan Prole
Witnessed by Charles Peterkin and Susan Stevens

18 Nov 1861 St Mary Lambeth
Charles James Peterkin, boiler maker  married Susan Stevens
Witnessed by John Daniels and Susan Daniels.

But the CP who witnessed John’s marriage has a completely different signature to the CJP that married SS? CJP is the son of James Peterkin, also a boiler maker.

There is a Charles Peterkin, a Cooper, born 1825 Westminster, and his signature is the same as the CP who witnessed John’s marriage.

It can’t be the same person as he is with wife Emma in 1881?

Edited to add John Daniels married Emma Bubb, 1861 in Dover.

Back to the drawing board….

Joseph William, Harriet Maria and Albert Edward all registered with MMN as Bubb (I haven’t checked the others)
