Hi Osprey

I cannot find a reply from me to thank you for all your hard work, and fabulous help you offered on the FOOTE folk.  I am very much hoping that I did send you a personal reply earlier.  If you did not receive one for me, please accept my most sincere apologies, and gratitude at locating a whole new generation of family for me.

Yours humbly
Katherine

Hi Osprey

Thank you very much for looking so widely for me.  The Harding family you mentioned at Sims Row in 1841 are mine, as Mary Ann had brothers Samuel & Daniel that fit the ages pretty well.

It is great to hear from someone with local knowledge too!

It is very interesting that Isaac was a difficult one to find.  The lead that he was born in Gloucestershire came from his death certificate, which may possibly be wrong?

Thanks Osprey, I really appreciate your help.

Warm regards
Katherine

Gloucestershire / Isaac FOOTE & Mary Ann HARDING
« on: Friday 23 June 06 08:44 BST (UK)  »
Hi All

Hoping someone may be able to help me find further information on this couple and/or their ancestors.  I believe they may have married in Gloucestershire.  Isaac FOOTE was born about 1828 in Gloucestershire and married Mary Ann HARDING who was, I believe, also born in Gloucestershire (Westbury on Trym) about 1829.  This couple migrated to Victoria, Australia where their first child in the  new colony, George FOOTE was born in 1857.

I believe that Isaac's parents were Charles FOOTE and Maria.

Mary Ann HARDING's parents were William HARDING and Margaret.

Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanking you.

Cheers
Katherine

Hi all

Hoping someone may have information on Mary Ann HARDING who was born about 1829 in Gloucester, the daughter of William HARDING & Margaret.  I believe Mary Ann had the following siblings - Martha, Frances & Ann.  She married Isaac FOOTE and migrated to Victoria, Australia.  I do not know if she married before or after migrating to Australia.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
Kath

Hi Diane

Thank you for posting your extra BDM's!

I am interested in one that you mentioned
Births in Hutton, Dfs
1859 Johnstone, Mary (parents John Johnstone, Mary Johnstone nee Angus)

This lady is part of my family tree, and I would be most grateful if there is any additional information from the BDM goodies that you may be to offer?

Many thanks in advance.

Yours gratefully
Kath

Wiltshire / Re: William GUNSTONE (1809-1884) & Elizabeth CANNINGS (1812-1901)

Thank you Joe.  Very interesting about the different spellings!  Charlotte may well have married in Glamorgan, as her sister, Elizabeth Ann (b.1853) married a Welshman in Wales in the December quarter of 1885.

Ah, now I see why you have so many little stars by your names!

Can you please tell me the complete titles of the sources from which you've gathered this plethora of information?

Yours most gratefully
Kath (the Pioneer)
