I have recently come back from Jersey where we did a lot of family research, I seem to recall the de gruchy name coming up in the St Ouens/St Mary's area so that might be a start for you?

All I know is that we found his name on  honour role list in the Military Museum in Castle Elizabeth and there is what would appear to be a group photo of them all taken on the 6th Jul 1940. Many thanks for the info I will see what i can dig up, Cheers

I have recently found a record of a E H GIOT who was in the Jersey Militia Jul 1940, does anyone know where and how I can get more details as he may be a missing link on our family tree.Many thanks for any assistance

We have just come back from a week in Jersey and found the Archive people very helpful as well as the History Society volunteers there. cannot praise them enough, we found so much information with thier help.

Cheers for that, have an old military photo which I believe may have been taken at the Greve De Leque barracks ( sorry if thats the wrong spelling) but it needs to be renovated before i can really be sure

Hello John, I am not sure if there is any connection but I have some information as to a Rachel Cabot who married a Francois Gatain??circa 1800???? they had sons and daughters ,one of whom is believed to be a Mary or Marie La Source?? I know the spelling is different but there may be some connection?
