Great thanks for your help guys.  I have decided to go for Family Historian through Parallels which will help with the file and pics sharing/storage too :)

Hi there

My FTM V2 for Mac went wrong with the latest software update so had to back track to Mavericks.  Any suggestions for the V3 or is Family Historian better on pc?  I do use bootcamp... bit limited with space too.  I may need to merge a previous version of TMG (The Master Genealogist) too!

Can anyone advise a good software?

Many thanks in advance :)

Oh sorry just remembered - I came across your Grandfather who was possibly a member of the home guard - did you find that too?

Hi there

I've just logged on and looking for advice on software as my current has gone wrong and haven't looked into my tree info in a long time.  Soooo just got these messages!

Wow hello there cousin!  Yes Catherine and John had over 11 children!  I started with the Census and worked from there.  My grandfather (John) was Joseph's eldest brother.  Since your message - how far have you got?

Best wishes
Peach :)

ps you have LOADS of cousins lol

Hi there

I have a John Corcoran who married in Sunderland.  Although I know parents were John and Catherine from Roscommon, I cannot confirm his mother's maiden name.  Have you discovered any more on your Catherine McKeon and John since your post?

Best wishes
Peach :)

Hi Daisy

Yes I have seen this and he could be my Dominic!  Thank you for find this information though  :)

I have been in touch with this Dominic's decendent and we are still trying to find a common link between them both.  This Dominic's marriage cert and the details of my Dominic both have the same father named with same occupation, however, as we know, we need something more concrete  :-\

Trying to think of anything which will link the 2!!

Thanks again
Peach

thank you both for this information!

Gortonboy: I have checked out this site before but couldn't find anything.  However, because you were able to give these specific dates, I was able to go straight to this information (on payg).  Yes!! this is my Dominick (I can now even spell his name correctly how he signed it :))

Very much appreciated :)

My ancester Dominic (b 1874) Sunderland was listed on the 1881 and 1891 (Rivett Heater) census.  However was missing in 1901 (possibly listed under another name?).  In 1911 maybe showing as being in Durham jail.  Medal card only available on line shows 3 different regiments during WWI for possibly my Dominic or/and another.  Can't find his death in Sunderland and family say he was alive in 1928.  Have found a possible link to a Dominic's grandson but his grandfather died in South Shields.  Both of our Dominic's have the same fathers name and occupation.

Anyone have any ideas how we can link the 2?  :-\

Hello there

I'm a decendent of Catherine Ann Barron Elstob (b1873).  I have details of James and Maria's children:

Maria, James, Ann Barron, Robert, Mary Jane, Catherine Ann, Margaret Taylor, David, George Thomas, Jane Kenney Myers and finally Florence Beatrice. I have a picture of Jane's wedding (which they very kindly sent to me) if you haven't already got it.
