After many years of Family Ancestry Research I am again trying to identify new contacts that are researching the surname VAYRO or VARO or other derivatives. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi Jos
This William is definitely one of mine. I hadn't realised that Mary Walker had been married before, and that her maiden name was Stott. You might want to reply direct to (*) for more information.

Hi Andrea

Had a brief look at these two hyperlinks, useful information, but it may be more use to me to pick it all up as I go along, even if I make a few mistakes along the way.

Thanks though

ScouseBoy,

Rennison has posted on the right thread. He is referring to reply #24 on this thread where bhaven has listed Varo as one of her name interests. Varo and Vayro are linked surnames.

As you say it would be best if Rennison made three posts on boards other than the common room boards and then he would be able to PM bhaven who may noy otherwise see his post

Hi David and Scouse Boy

Yes indeed it was aimed at Jean #24 who has Varo as an interest

If I could get used to the system of replying to postings I may have more success. See my full posting on the beginners board

Hi

It is allright for those of you fully familiar with how to make a posting, follow it up, and find a suitable forum section to post it on, but being new to the Rootschat system it has taken me a while to find the beginners section and find the section for posting a new topic. So well spotted members who pointed others to where my posting was referring to.

I have been researching VAYRO and VARO and derivatives for 28 years, and as a Guild of One Names Studies member try to find new avenues to explore contacts. I see Debbie Wilson is a member for Vayro and Jean for Varo. Debbie is a distant relative but Jean may be new. I have absolute proof of Varo and Vayro leading back to a William Vayro/Varo/Varah in 1810 Ellingstring N Yorks. I can prove 8 generations back to 1710, and have connections across the UK, Australia and Canada, with 2 public websites.

Some alternative examples of the surname are as follows:-

1748          VAUSO, Andrew of Sutton Parish
1755          VAURO, William of Elvington, December Probate
1767          VAYIO, Ann of Cloughton, Stansby Parish
1838          VAYNE, Mary baptised Tanfield July, daughter of John and Margaret
1841C        VAIO, William of Masham and sons William and Stephen
1861C        DAYERO or VAYERO William, Esther, 5 children and brother Stephen
                  (8 Green St Darlington)
1871C        VAGEO, William, wife Esther and 4 children (Yarm Lane Darlington)
1871C        VAYRE, Stephen and wife Bell (137 Brunton St Darlington)
1881C        VAYDS, William, wife Esther and daughter Esther
(5 Woodcock Square, Stanley cum Wrenthorpe, Wakefield)
1881C        VAYNOR, James (14) indoor farm servant
                  (Lupset, Alverthorpe Cum Thornes)
1901C        VAYNO, Rose domestic cook Nottingham

All proved to be linked to the Vayro family ancestry

So if there is anyone out there that can assist in any way, please get back to me.

Rennison

So if there is anyone

Hi Jean

I have been researching Vayro and Varo for 28 years, only recently joined Rootschat.

I wondered where your Varo link came from
