THANK YOU lizziedrip!!! This could get interesting. The 'will' of  my George Woodhouse states his wifes name as ANNE. GEORGE WOODHOUSE (or louse....poor man) is not a very common name. Perhaps there are 2 of them, or maybe he married twice?????????? He died in 1830 with 2 children, so he must of been busy!!! He died in  Scarborough too, which could also mean he is 'my man'
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
Any chance you could find his parents?????

HELP!!!! hit a brick wall.
Can anyone help find the parents of
GEORGE WOODHOUSE PORRETT     b. 1786.  d. 1830
and his brother   TURNER PORRETT  b. 1786?  d.1840
and sisters. BETTY,  ANN,  and JANE
The family are native Scarborough people, so presume their parents were from there also?????
Any help much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone offer help for index names in YORK cemetary or burial index for YORK??
TURNER PORRETT  accidental drowning in Parish of St.Marys, Bishophill Senior.  28th Feb.1840    Death registered in sub District of MICKLEGATE in the City of York on 23rd April 1840.  Old family letters state he was buried in the City of York.................I can't find him!!!! ANY help appreciated!!! :-*

Hope someone can help.
Turner Porrett death registered March qtr 1839. Buried YORK CEMETERY.
Can only find a 'porrell'  (no first name given)on the search names for York cemetary.
Can anyone confirm if this could be the same man, maybe inscription misread!
Any help much appreciated.
