Cheshire / Thurstan Barritt twiss
« on: Friday 06 May 11 04:35 BST (UK)  »
I am searching for any information about the extended family of Thurstan Barritt Twiss born c 1832 in Altrincham or Rostherne area, Cheshire. He appears on the 1861 Brighton census as a butler, and subsequently returned to Weston Under Lizard and his wife Ann Maria. He left two sons Thomas aged 10months and Thurston born later that year at St George Hanover Square. The boys were illegitimately born to Louisa Pike, who appears on the same census as a domestic.
Thurstan died a widower in 1911 in Pontefract ; his niece -by marriage- was M.E Watters and she was present at the death. Thurston -the younger- is my grandfather. I am in New Zealand. Any help would be much appreciated.
