New Zealand Completed Requests / Wood Family

George, Ann, Sarah and Charles arrived between 1879 and 1881 from England, son Joseph may have gone there with them before  he went to Australia.
Sarah  was born 1878 in England and died Dunedin 1881.
There could have been more of the family arriving with them.
any info. would be fantastic

I have the basics for this family (very unusual surname)  Samuel married Elizabeth Hicks about 1820 and four children. This spelling is I think a variant.
If anyone could help with where the name may have come from and the original spelling I would be very grateful.

Hi All,
I have just found this website.
I have been trying to find any info. on my GGrandfather Norman Robert Burns his parents were Robert Burns and Mary Goodwin.
born around 1856 came to Australia 1885 ?.
I have conflicting info.from 2 certificates, marriage cert. said he was born in meath and death cert. said belfast

I hope someone can help.

I'm sure I saw a cert. that showed Bridget as his first wife and Hannah his current wife.
I'm getting more confussed  by the minute.
I haven't been through my info. for a while. I will do it 2day.

My G Grandfather was Arthur Smith his first wife was Lucy Addis they married in Swansea in 1901,
they had 4 daughters,  Elsie May  1902, Florence 1903, Edith 1904, my grandmother Alice was born 1907.
The 3 older girls were born in Cardiff and my grandmother St. Fagins. Their mother died in 1910 and the family were seperated.  Can anyone help ???

Hi, my husband is a direct desendent of Joseph Walsh ( Welch).
we live in Australia, New South Wales.
Yes is was a convict, he married Bridget Daley and had a son Joseph,
Bridget died and Joseph sn. married again Hannah King.
