Greetings Sage and Monica,
Thanks for the information. I have most of  the facts that can be found about the family in Canada but have come to a brick wall about the Millers of Scotland. About the  Burns family information, I contacted Steve Lapp and let him know that his Janet was married to Walter Miller. Do either of you have an interest in this family or just an appreciated willing to help? I know how adicting this family searching can get.

I have a William Mott from The Close, Lichfield, Staffordshire  in my family tree. He was born 1853 (parents John and Sarah) and died 1826. He married Mary Greene 20 Nov 1782   ( She died 1792) , and had these children
-Sarah-1785-Lichfield
John-1787-Lichfield
Maria Greene-1783
William-1789
I have a copy of his will and there is no mention of another family other than these children that I have read.
My relationship is through his daughter Sarah. I have more on the family if you are interested

thanks for the information about John Edgell. His wife Mary Elizabeth (blandy) was the sister to my great grandfather. He was the only one of the family to move to Canada., I had the marriage and some of the children but nothing else of the family. I would be interested of a photo of the grave marker if it is still available. Thanks again for your posting of this family.

I am looking for anything on the family of Walter Miller and Janet or Jean Burns married in Lesmahagow in 1832. just after marriage they moved to Canada and settled in Ontario . Her parents were James and Margaret Hamilton . looking for information on the Miller family in Scotland and anyone interested in the family .
