welshjo.thanks for your reply.you have cleared. a few things up for me. when i was a lad my mother would take me to birmingham rag market.a stall that. was set up selling pottery seconds.it was run by afamily called leese. my mom would stay a long time. i always came away with five shillings which was a lot of money. 1 remember been told they were some sort of cousins from longton. the name of nield .rings a bell. but connected to cheadle . to get information from my moms generation.seemed so hard my grandad by all accounts. was prone to drink all his takings away. and the family. would do a moonlight flit as they couldnt pay the rent. people call them the good old days. the youngest son albert junior died while he was still a boy from what they called sleeping sickness. i remember been told that they called him sunny. all four girls became publicans as did three of the boys..my first name is stewart.
