Hello cupasoop - My Creighton are from Gosforth/Uldale just south of you in Cumbria. These Creighton[Crayton/Craiton] are said to have come from County Donegal pre 1800. The above threads do not fit with my info but if your research digs up any connection drop me a line. Good luck on your genie journey.

Jack Gee.

Ireland / Ballybo/Ballyboe Definition?
« on: Monday 09 August 21 23:39 BST (UK)  »
Hello Troops,
in my research i have often come across the terms Ballybo and Ballyboe.
One is a form of land measurement and the other is another district name for the townland of Findrum. Could someone provide me with a bit of background on both terms?

cheers

Hello Troops,
there was a McClure family that resided in the Bready/Tamnakeery/Cloghole area of Co. Tyrone from the 1700's to about 1911. They are said to have move to the 'southern hemisphere' circa 1904/10. Looking for  connections with names of Roulston, Nesbitt, Sayers, Hart and Harvey.

Cheers Jack Gee
